El Salvador
Nestled in the heart of Central America, El Salvador is renowned for its rich volcanic soil, ideal altitudes, and generations of coffee-growing tradition.
Finca San Jose: Rooted in tradition, grown with purpose
Our beans are grown at Finca San Jose, a family-owned farm in the Ilamatepec region. With a commitment to quality and sustainability, this is where the story of Oculto begins. At altitudes of 1,400–1,600 meters, Finca San Jose produces coffees with clarity, sweetness, and a distinct sense of place.
El Salvador coffee: Elegance, balance, and depth
El Salvador’s specialty coffee is celebrated for its clean cup, refined acidity, and delicate sweetness. Grown in microclimates and harvested by skilled hands, these beans reflect both the richness of the land and the legacy of its people.

Delicate & sweet
Notes of stone fruit, milk chocolate, citrus, and florals—Salvadoran coffee is known for its balance and drinkability.

Washed, semi-washed, honey & natural
El Salvador leads in innovative processing techniques, with a strong tradition in honey and natural methods for added complexity.

Grown high, tasting bright
Most coffee is cultivated between 1,200 and 1,600 meters above sea level, giving beans the acidity and clarity prized by roasters worldwide.

Diverse and resilient
Bourbon, Pacas, Marsellese, Pacamara, San Pacho, and SL-28 are just a few of the varietals you’ll find—each contributing to the cup’s unique profile.

More than a crop, a way of life
Coffee has shaped Salvadoran identity for over a century. It’s a source of pride, resilience, and economic hope for countless families.
